We know as women that our undergarments are the foundation of our outfit. Sure, you can wear the most stylish fashions, but if you are wearing an ill-fitted bra that creates unnecessary bumps and lumps, and doesn’t give you the support you need, your whole look can be ruined.
We want to wear a bra that fits us well in order to best highlight our body’s shape and give us a smooth silhouette. It’s amazing how one of the least seen pieces of apparel that we wear day in and day out is one of the most important!
Remember last month I went to NYC to Vanity Fair Summit to talk all about their modern and practical bra and panty styles that give women confidence all day? Because we know that if your bra is supportive, lifting, and is comfortable, you’ll have a better day, right? I sure do! If I happen to pass a mirror and I see extra bumps and sagging, it brings down my mood.
While I was in NYC, I was properly sized and fitted for new bras. It’s crazy to me that about 80% of women wear the incorrect bra size, but what’s even crazier? I was part of that 80%! Not good. It’s SO important to know your current bra size, ladies. I say “current” because with pregnancy and just general weight fluctuations in life, our bra sizes change. You probably aren’t the same size bra as you were pre-kids, right? You may not even be the same size as a year ago, so it’s super important to get a bra fitting every once in a while. Why not do it once a year?
I also picked out two new bras last month in my correct size that were oh-so-comfortable. Not all bras fit all women the same way, so I highly recommend you try on bras before buying because one 34C style can support you differently than another 34C style.
I chose two of the Vanity Fair Beauty Back bras that have an all around smoothing and shaping effect that stays in place and doesn’t create extra bulges on the back. They offer the Beauty Back Bra in no-poke underwire and wire-free styles but I found that the underwire was perfect for me to lift and stay put.
After wearing these bras for the past month, I wanted to let you know how I like them. So many bras are fine in the fitting room at the department store for 3 minutes but what is it like to wear them every single day? THAT is the real test.
I’m happy to report that I REALLY like these new Beauty Back bras! They make me feel g.o.o.d and do exactly what I expect: first, they’re comfortable. Yes, comfortable enough that I’m not pulling and yanking it into place all day long. Win! Second, the higher back bands of the bra do a wonderful job at NOT creating extra back fat. Serious WIN-WIN! The bra lays flat and gives a smoothing effect on my upper back right behind my arms where other bras dig into and create extra bumps. No one has time for that! Third, the bra supports me. WIN-WIN-WIN! Yep, it supports me in all the right places and is always there for me during the day to keep me my spirits up. And my boobs.
Overall, these Vanity Fair Beauty Back Bras are exactly what I was looking for in a new comfortable, stylish and supportive bra. If you are looking for some new bras (and remember, you should be swapping them out about every year or so!), you should definitely check these out.
