Disney Dream Cruise Kids Club Q&A

Sharing is caring!

Have you been thinking of taking the kids on a family cruise? A cruise is a great vacation for the entire family with so many things to do and see. If you have young kids, a Disney cruise has probably already crossed your mind. There is nothing better than sailing with your favorite Disney characters, themed meals, pirate nights and broadway-style musicals.

We recently sailed aboard the Disney Dream as part of a Disney Land and Sea trip on a 4 day/3 night cruise to the Bahamas. This was our first Disney cruise in the past 12 years and it was fantastic!

if you are anything like me, you love spending vacations with your kids but you wouldn’t mind a few moments to yourself to sit by the pool and read a book, hit the gym, get a massage or maybe just take a quick nap. That is where a good kids club aboard a cruise ship comes in.

My kids loved going to the Disney Oceaneer Lab for some time to play with other kids, participate in themed activities, compete in games and much more.

Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Lab is the children’s activity center on board the ship where kids 3 to 12 can learn while playing games, enjoying hands-on daily activities and more!

The Oceaneer Club and Lab is usually open from 9am-12mid (hours may vary) and offers age-specific programs with lots of fun, interesting hands-on activities to keep the younger set entertained.

The center looked so fun that dad wanted to stay to try out the Star Wars Millennium Falcon and I was pretty excited to step foot in Andy’s Room from The Toy Story series.

While my kids absolutely love a good kid’s club, we know many parents are not as eager to drop their children off for activities during a vacation. You may be one of those parents who has a bunch of questions and we are here to answer them today.

We went right to the source and interviewed a fantastic Disney cast member who has been working onboard the ship in the Oceaneer Club for over 3 years to get all your questions answered.

Please take a few minutes and watch our Disney travel video below. If you’d like to take a tour of the Oceaneers Club and Lab, we have that too! Our club tour video might just get you and your kids excited for your next Disney cruise.
