My family’s dietary restrictions are laughable right now. We are planning our Thanksgiving menu and need to accommodate for gluten free, dairy free, vegan, ketogenic, and Whole 30. Basically we will be eating… vegetables. 🙂
Our plan is to have a huge variety of sides so that everyone will have a few options to choose from in order to create a full Thanksgiving dinner plate. When it comes to desserts, though, we are a little stumped. Though my husband has been strictly gluten free for over a year now, I haven’t ventured too far into gluten free baked goods. I plan to make at least 4 gluten free desserts for Thanksgiving this year to make up for it!
Eating gluten free, or hosting a gluten free guest at your Thanksgiving dinner this year, does not mean you need to sacrifice flavor! Whether you are comfortable cooking gluten free or trying to accommodate someone else, these dessert recipes are all winners in my book.
If YOU are following a gluten free diet for one reason or another and are attending Thanksgiving dinner somewhere else, consider making one or two of these desserts to bring with you. That way you’ll know there are at least a few options that are ‘safe’ for you to eat – and you can also introduce other dinner guests to gluten free food options.
