Are the holidays really happening if you don’t have pecan pie at some point? Pecan pie is a must-have dessert in my house and we love it! This recipe takes it a step further by removing the corn syrup and replacing it with maple syrup for delicious pecan pie bars that the entire family will love.
Yes, this corn syrup free pecan pie has a nutty and maple flavor that makes it the perfect holiday treat.
After Crumbl featured their Pecan Pie Cookies last week, we decided to do something a little different and make these dessert bars. Since it comes together easily in one pan, this is an easier version of delicious pecan pie cookies.
WHY IS PECAN PIE SO POPULAR?
Pecan pie has a special place in my heart—and in so many of our kitchens, especially during the holidays. It’s that perfect combination of sweet, nutty, and a little bit buttery that makes it hard to resist. I think what really makes it so popular, though, is how comforting and nostalgic it is. For many of us, pecan pie isn’t just a dessert; it’s a family tradition. Plus, it’s easy to make, but still feels a little fancy. It’s a crowd-pleaser at every gathering, whether it’s Thanksgiving, Christmas, or just a Sunday afternoon with family. There’s just something about that combination of crunch from the pecans and that silky, caramel-like filling that makes it a dessert you come back to year after year.
