Summer Infant 3Dpac CS+ Lightweight Stroller Review
Summer is right around the corner which means many people will be packing up the family and hitting the road for vacations. If you are traveling with a baby or a toddler, a lightweight, compact stroller should be on your packing list.
The 3Dpac CS+ has a roomy seat that accommodates from 6 months up to 50 lbs. If you’d like to use the stroller with a newborn, it does that too when you pair it with a Graco Snugride Click Connect, Chicco KeyFit30 or Chicco Fit2 infant car seat to turn it into a travel system.
The seat measures 12 1/2″ wide with a 17″ seat back and a measurement of 26″ from back of seat to canopy. There is an adjustable, padded, 5-point harness to keep your little one safely in the seat and an adjustable leg rest to keep them comfy.
Size matters when it comes to a stroller’s canopy, and the 3Dpac doesn’t disappoint with its three large panels and additional pop-out sun visor. The canopy is so large for a lightweight stroller that it reaches the baby bumper bar.
The canopy sports a large, mesh, peek-a-boo window that has a cover.
A good stroller is one that cannot only hold your child but all the things as well. The storage on the 3Dpac is good and does just that. There is a basket under the seat that can hold a medium to large diaper bag easily.
A small pocket on the back of the canopy will hold a phone, wallet and/or set of keys and the cup holder on the side of the handlebar is a welcome addition to the stroller!
The stroller rolls on hard rubber wheels with the back wheels measuring 6 1/2″ and the front wheels are 5 1/2″. The front wheels are swivel wheels with the ability to lock straight for a bit of “mommy terrain” such as grass and playground mulch. There is also a flip flop friendly brake on the back of the stroller that locks it into place.
If you are going to get a good travel stroller, it should have a compact, easy-to-do fold. This is where the stroller really shines. The tri-fold is easy to do with one-hand and finishes in a very compact package that will fit in the smallest of vehicle trunks. Plus, there is a carry strap that allows you to carry the stroller hands-free over your shoulder and at only 16 lbs, the stroller is easy to transport.
If you are looking for a lightweight stroller that accepts an infant car seat to turn it into a travel system, the 3Dpac does that too! With no additional adapters needed, just pair it with a Graco Snugride Click Connect, Chicco KeyFit30 or Chicco Fit2 infant car seat and you and your baby are good to go.
Overall, the Summer Infant 3Dpac CS+ is a great travel stroller with many big features. It is available now and retails for a budget-friendly $149.99.
