Air Fryer S’mores Crescent Bombs

Sharing is caring!

You guys are going to start thinking I’m obsessed with my air fryer soon, amIright? It’s not that I’m obsessed with it, it’s just that it’s too easy to use to make all types of delicious things in a fraction of the time of an oven. Who doesn’t want to save time, right? Plus, my air fryer does a great job cooking things. Today, I’m introducing you to the Air Fryer S’mores Crescent Bombs.

This past weekend I was looking to make a sweet treat with some sort of s’mores element. Sure, I could have made S’mores cookies, Oven Baked S’mores Bars (my husband’s favorite!) or S’mores Cups, but I wanted something new and QUICK. That’s when I came up with the S’mores Crescent Bombs. They are super easy and only need FOUR ingredients. No mixer needed. No oven. No fancy-schmancy kitchen tools.

WHAT IS A S’MORE

s’more is a campfire treat popular in the United States and Canada, consisting of one or more toasted marshmallows and a layer of chocolate placed between two pieces of graham cracker.

S’more is a contraction of the phrase “some more”. S’mores appeared in a cookbook in the early 1920s, where it was called a “Graham Cracker Sandwich”. The text indicates that the treat was already popular with both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. In 1927, a recipe for “Some More” was published in Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts.

The contracted term “s’mores” appears in conjunction with the recipe in a 1938 publication aimed at summer camps. A 1956 recipe uses the name “S’Mores”, and lists the ingredients as “a sandwich of two graham crackers, toasted marshmallow and 12 chocolate bar”. A 1957 Betty Crocker cookbook contains a similar recipe under the name of “s’mores”.

OTHER S’MORES DESSERT OPTIONS

After you are done making these Air Fryer S’mores Crescent Bombs, do you want some more dessert options? See what I did there?

You can make all types of desserts with graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate. If you use all three in a dessert combination, you are allowed to call it a s’more dessert. Yup, I just made up that rule so let’s go with it. We’ve made all types of s’more dessert in the past and here are a few of our favorites:

Oven Baked S’mores Bars – Quite possibly the best combination of s’mores with marshmallows, chocolate and graham cracker that you could ever make.

S’mores Cups – Easy-to-make, bite-sized S’mores Cups.

S’mores cookies – The fun flavors of a summer s’more and mix them into a warm, ooey, gooey cookie.

Peanut Butter S’mores Bars – Chocolate, marshmallow, peanut butter and a graham cracker crust. It’s a perfect summer dessert.

S’mores Dip – A delicious chocolate and marshmallow dip that is perfect for graham crackers.

S’Mores Waffle Bites – Instead of graham crackers, these were made with my 5 year old’s favorite breakfast item in the world – Mini Eggo Waffles
