Chocolate Chip Toffee Bars

Father’s Day weekend is another holiday that expectations are high for me to produce something fabulous in the kitchen. While some years I go with a new dessert, most of the time I stick to an old favorite. Dads are creatures of habit and they usually know what they like. Father’s Day isn’t a time to experiment because I don’t want to accidentally make something new that just misses the mark on their day, right?  I leave the new dessert experiments for generic holidays such as Labor Day or 4th of July.

This year I made one of my favorite go-to desserts that I knew would be a hit. Chocolate Chip Toffee Bars are a hit every time. Serve them warm with vanilla ice cream and you will instantly be everyone’s BFF.
