It’s not a Happy Valentine’s Day without indulging our sweet tooth, now is it? These decadent chocolate kiss cookies are sure to bring a smile to your sweetheart or your kid’s faces. There is just nothing quite like chocolate on chocolate with a dose of pretty sprinkles!
These chocolate cookies are so easy to make that the kids can help make the dough. Roll the dough. And even plop the Hershey Kisses on the top.
These cookies makes the perfect holiday party treat or just a dessert for the family.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/4 cups white flour
- Red and pink sprinkles
- 30 Hershey’s Kisses
Directions
In a large mixing bowl cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and blend well. Stir in cocoa, baking powder, baking soda. One half cup at a time, add flour.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Once ingredients are all blended, roll a silver dollar size dough ball into a smooth sphere, slightly flatten and dip into a bowl of sprinkles. Place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, press an unwrapped Hershey’s Kiss into the center and move the cookie to a cooling rack.
Little ones LOVE to be involved in the prep of these cookies – especially the rolling, sprinkles and Kiss pressing 🙂 If your mama patience can stand it, invite them into the kitchen to help prep these yummy treats!
