Inglesina Zippy Light Stroller Review (VIDEO) + Giveaway

Congratulations to our Zippy Light Giveaway Winner – Alison Serewko

If you have been with Baby Gizmo a while, you would know that I was a HUGE fan of the original Inglesina Zippy stroller. I loved the one-hand, compact fold and the huge canopy. A few years ago, they discontinued the Zippy to make room for new Inglesina strollers, but we missed our old friend. We missed our Zippy fold. Well, good news! Inglesina is bringing back the Zippy in a new lighter-weight version called the Inglesina Zippy Light.

Inglesina Zippy Light

The Zippy Light seat is roomy and accommodates a newborn to a child of 55 lbs. It measures 13″ wide with an 18″ seat back and a measurement of 24″ from the back of the seat to the top of the canopy. The seat reclines back easily with one hand into three different positions including nearly flat which is suitable for a newborn. There is a padded, adjustable 5-point harness with a secure buckle that is tricky for mischievous toddlers to open. The calf rest is adjustable up and down and the baby bumper bar is swing away and removable.

The basket under the seat is roomy enough to hold a large diaper bag and is easiest to access from the side of the stroller.

Inglesina knew we loved the large, original Zippy canopy and the Zippy Light doesn’t disappoint. It’s a gigantic canopy that is full-coverage even with the seat reclined and features a small peek-a-boo window with a cover.

The handle on the Zippy is not adjustable and isn’t the tallest we’ve seen at 39″ from ground to handle. If you are tall, we highly suggest trying out the stroller first to make sure it’s a comfortable height.

The Inglesina Zippy Light rolls on 6″ hard rubber wheels and an all-wheel suspension. The front wheels are 360 degree swivel wheels with the ability to lock straight to tackle a little all-terrain such as grass, gravel and playground mulch. The stroller has fantastic one-handed maneuverability but was definitely designed with smooth surfaces in mind, which is typical in a lightweight stroller.

If you are looking for a super easy, one-handed fold and unfold, you found it with the Zippy Light. This stroller easily folds down with one hand into a standing fold that only weighs 15.2 lbs. The lightweight frame and the fold make it a perfect travel stroller. The unfold is just as easy. With a push of the button and a shake, you can open the Zippy Light with one-hand as well.

Sure, you can put an newborn right in the seat of the Zippy Light but you can also use the stroller as a travel system with a sold separately car seat adapter too. The Inglesina Zippy Light also comes with a cup holder and a rain guard.

To say we are pleased that the Inglesina Zippy is back in a new and improved (and lighter!) version is an understatement! We love the large canopy, easy fold, great maneuverability on this lightweight stroller that is great for everyday or travel. The Inglesina Light will be available for sale starting on March 25, 2016 and will retail for $329. It will be available in five colors: Desert Dune, Total Black, Ocean Blue, Vivid Red and Sweet Candy Pink.

  1. […] Inglesina Zippy Light Stroller Review (VIDEO) + Giveaway … – Baby Gizmo founder Hollie Schultz is the proud mom of three adorable kids. This certified CPS (Child Passenger Safety) Tech and baby gear expert is the host of the … […]

  2. I love how light weight this stroller is! It would be perfect for my daughter who’s expecting her first baby in October!!

  3. Love the lighter weight, and the fact that it can take a carseat without straps! I have the older zippy and it’s great but a little heavier.

  4. My favorite feature is the canopy. It has full-coverage even with the seat reclined and features a small peek-a-boo window with a cover.

  5. love that this lightweight stroller doesn’t have tow handlebars like an umbrella stroller. I can actually push it with one hand!

  6. I love that it is super light weight and that it stands up when folded!! So many strollers dont really stand when folded and this is imperative if you live in small city spaces (like we do!)

  7. I love this stroller.. its lightweight, and looks very durable. It would be great to win especially now that we’re looking for a new lightweight stroller!

  8. I love how lightweight it is and don’t even get me started on the storage! Having 8 month old twins, storage is the key.

  9. When it comes to certain models of Iglesina and Mamas & Papas strollers, I’m reminded of how similar they are to certain Peg Perego stroller modes. I love the how compact they can fold, standalone when folded, and overall design.

  10. I love the canopy! Love how far it comes down when baby is fully reclined. Being able to open and close the stroller with one hand is a fantastic feature also.

  11. I love the big size, it’s bigger than some other strollers, and the fact that it’s light, not heavy is a plus! Thank you

  12. My sister is going to need a new stroller for her next baby, and I think this would be perfect for her! It looks super light!

  13. I love this stroller so much from the 55 lb. Weight limit to the one hand fold and the storage basket! It is so beautiful and would be great to win!

  14. I love the one hand recline! It’s hard to find such a lightweight stroller that reclines flat for a newborn, and also holds up to 55lbs. I also love the large storage basket. Thanks for the video review!

  15. My favorite feature of this stroller is that it weighs 15lbs to support up to 55lbs! That’s incredible and gonna come in handy for thise family vacations. You can literally bring it with you anywhere you go! The name is extra cute too! Zippy 😉

  16. My favorite feature is the one hand fold amazing!!! And it wouldn’t take up my whole trunk. Mine now barely fits in my trunk I have to jam it in!!

  17. I really like the 6″ hard rubber wheels and an all-wheel suspension features because it will be great for uneven ground like on hikes 🙂

  18. The best feature on this stroller is that it can accommodate a newborn and a toddler up to a 55 pounds. So many umbrella strollers don’t accommodate a newborn. If you’re doing any traveling, it’s tough to bring a full size stroller or pram. This is wonderful!

  19. The features of the Zippy that are most important to me are: single push bar, one handed fold/unfold, and the large canopy.

  20. Had an Inglesina stroller 10 years ago with our first. Would love to get a new one for our newborn! Love all the new and improved features.

  21. My favorite feature is that it’s a lightweight stroller and that canopy! A definite must-have especially for the summer time.

  22. so many cool features…it’s light, the fold is great, it stands when folded, up to 55lbs, adjustable foot rest and the huge canopy!

  23. Thank you for these opportunities! . I love my Inglesina Trilogy stroller and would LOVE the opportunity to try this one! I can only imagine this one would not disappoint either.

  24. I LOVE that it’s lightweight but is still a sleek and modern design. The one hand fold and unfold has me doing heart eyes. The big basket is nice and also- the car seat adapter for when you have a newbie. Great stroller!
